Be the best, by learning from the best!
The Clinical Placement Program was created to mentor graduate level students from universities and colleges in the fields of physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology during clinical practicum rotations. The Clinical Placement Program allows North Shore Pediatric Therapy therapists to supervise and teach graduate students about pediatric PT/OT/SLP/ABA and how the NSPT approach adds value to our client’s journey through therapy. The length of each placement is dependent upon the graduate school’s requirements and the opportunities available at North Shore Pediatric Therapy.

"I completed my level II, three month, occupational therapy fieldwork at North Shore Pediatric Therapy (NSPT). I found it to be a well-rounded and beneficial learning experience. NSPT staff was welcoming and supportive of my learning. My fieldwork educator provided a gradual transition and increased my responsibilities over the course of my fieldwork. NSPT is a unique outpatient setting as a wide range of services are available to clients at one location. It has been valuable as a student to participate in an interdisciplinary approach to treatment. The intimate setting provided an opportunity for me to observe and interact with other professionals, allowing me to learn from all of the staff on site. Overall, I enjoyed my time at NSPT and feel the site and staff gave me a chance to grow as an occupational therapy student."
